JOHN ZAMBORSKY

Zamb is spending their holiday season performing in Ogunquit Playhouse's production of Frozen at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH. They'll be understudying the "Duke of Weselton," as well as performing in the ensemble. This production runs from November 27th - December 22nd!

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Zamb (in collaboration with Skyler Sajewski) produced a benefit concert to raise money for those affected. Artists for Asheville was performed at/livestreamed from The Green Room 42 on October 14th, raising just shy of $3,000!

This fall, Zamb became a teaching artist at the AdventHealth School of the Arts at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando, FL. Here, they teach a variety performing arts classes, as well as adjudicating for their annual Applause Awards. This is an extremely cathartic achievement for them, as this was the same program that sent them to the Jimmy Awards back in 2018!

September 2023 - May 2024: This year, Zamb will be joining the North American Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar! They will be playing the tenor priest, as well as covering "Jesus," "Pilate," and "Peter." Click on the Jesus Christ Superstar logo to see if we're coming to a city near you!

June-August, 2023: This summer, Zamb will be playing "Drew" in Rock of Ages at Hope Repertory Theatre. This production ran from July 21st-August 3rd at the Park Theatre in Holland, Michigan.

August 2022 - June 2023: Zamb will be making their national tour debut on the North American Tour of CATS! They will be playing "Skimbleshanks," as well as covering "Bustopher Jones/Gus/Peter." Click on the CATS logo to see if we're coming to a city near you!

June-July, 2022: This summer, Zamb will be covering "Jean-Michel" in North Shore Music Theatre's production of Cinderella. The show runs from July 12th-24th.

March-June, 2022: This spring, Zamb will be covering "Sonny Bono" in the regional premiere of The Cher Show at the Ogunquit Playhouse. The show runs from May 12th-June 25th.

February-March, 2022: You can find Zamb swinging A Bronx Tale at the John W. Engeman Theatre in Northport, NY. The show runs from March 8th-April 24th.

December 2021 - January 2022: Zamb participated in The Growing Studio's prestigious LINK Program, which aims to connect college-aged performers with Broadway casting directors and agents.

September-December, 2021: Zamb finally had the chance to train at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where they participated in semester programme in classical acting.

June-August, 2021: This past summer, Zamb returned to the Forestburgh Playhouse for their 75th anniversary season! While in the Catskills, Zamb played "Mark" in Altar Boyz and as "Linus" in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, as well as serving as the dance captain for the summer.

January, 2021: Zamb decided to step out of their comfort zone and join one of Elon University's premier a cappella groups: Smooth Progressions! We are currently working on our spring album, so stay tuned. In the meantime, click on the logo to listen to some past projects!

August-December, 2020: Zamb had the pleasure of choreographing one of Elon Music Theatre's senior capstone projects: A Collection of Scenes from Spring Awakening.

August, 2020: Zamb was planning on attending the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art to participate in their Semester Programme in Classical Acting; however, due to safety concerns and travel restrictions, they have decided to continue pursuing their degree at Elon University.

May, 2020: Zamb was ready to be in the ensemble of Virginia Rep's Chicago! Directed and choreographed by Nathaniel Shaw and Tyce Diorio respectively, this show was scheduled to run from June 26 - August 9, 2020, but was postponed-indefinitely due to COVID-19.

February-April, 2020: Zamb was assisting director-choreographer Paula Kalustian in Elon's production of Violet. This production was supposed to play Elon University's Roberts Studio Theatre from April 23-28, 2020, but was cancelled due to COVID-19.  For a performance from the cast, click on on Violet logo!

January-February, 2020: Zamb reprised a favorite role of theirs: Galileo Figaro in We Will Rock You. This production played Elon's McCrary Theatre February 13-16, 2020.

December, 2019: Zamb had the privilege of being a part of a podcast recording of the musical Floyd Collins by Adam Guettel. This recording was created by Andrew Stevens Purdy (Elon MT20). To learn more about this process, click on on Floyd Collins logo!

October-December, 2019: Zamb had the joy of working on Elon MT20's Senior Thesis Production of Cabaret. They served as the dance captain, while also understudying the Emcee, Ernst, Bobby, and Victor. The show ran December 4-6, 2019 in the Center for the Arts Black Box Theatre.

August-November, 2019: Zamb performed in Elon University's mainstage production of Damn Yankees. The show ran October 31-November 2 and November 7-9, 2019 in Elon’s McCrary Theatre.

May-August, 2019: Zamb performed as a resident company member at the Forestburgh Playhouse. There, they played Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, Margaret Mead in Hair, and Young Bernadette in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, in addition to appearing in the ensembles of The Buddy Holly Story, Me and My Girl, and The Producers.

February-May, 2019: Zamb had the pleasure of working on the creative team for The 1940's Radio Hour. This show played Elon University's Roberts Studio Theatre May 2-6, 2019.

January-March, 2019: Zamb had the joy of joining the BFA dance majors in Elon University's CHROMA: Spring Dance Concert. Zamb danced in a piece titled "Noir," choreographed by Lauren Kearns. This production played Elon's McCrary Theatre March 14-17, 2019.

August-November, 2018: Zamb performed in their first college show: Elon University's mainstage production of Sweeney Todd. The show ran October 25-27 and November 1-3, 2018 in Elon’s McCrary Theatre.

August 2018: Zamb began pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre at Elon University. They are a member of the 2022 music theatre class, also pursuing a minor in Dance.

June 2018: Zamb had the honor to be the Orlando nominee for the 2018 National High School Musical Theatre Awards. They were nominated for their portrayal of Galileo Figaro in We Will Rock You at Spruce Creek High School. While at the Jimmy Awards, Zamb was hand-picked by Broadway choreographer Wayne Cilento as the recipient for the Jimmy Award for Best Dancer. Zamb made their Broadway debut at the Minskoff Theatre on June 25, 2018.
